County Durham Furniture Help Scheme has long been involved in helping the unemployed back into work through its programme of non accredited adult learning.

As we develop and grow, we intend to increase our emphasis in this area to provide more support to those who wish to return to the workplace after a period of illness or injury, as well as ex-servicemen and those forced to re-evaluate their futures following redundancy.

Although we can help in many ways, sometimes our volunteers need additional recognised training or qualifications. For this reason we have teamed up with partners who can offer appropriate courses in first aid, numeracy, literacy, computers/IT, advanced driving, PAT testing and many more!
